General Terms and Conditions of Online Sales
1. Legal Notice
The information you have just accessed for the purpose of consulting or purchasing products regulates the General Terms & Conditions of Use of the Online Store of “Móveis Siopa & Baptista” (hereinafter referred to as the “online store”), a registered trademark of Móveis Siopa & Baptista, Lda (hereinafter referred to as “Móveis Siopa & Baptista”), headquartered at Estrada Nacional 8, No. 182, Vale Maceira, Alfeizerão, registered under the commercial registry of Coimbra with the company number 510 068 235.
2. Use of the Online Store
2.1. Using this online store grants you the status of Customer and implies full and unreserved acceptance of all provisions included in the General Terms & Conditions of Online Sale and the Privacy Policy in force at the time of access.
2.2. If you do not fully accept any of the established conditions, you should not access/use the online store.
2.3. Móveis Siopa & Baptista reserves the right to amend and update the General Terms & Conditions of Online Sale periodically and without prior notice to the Customer.
2.4. The processing of personal data by Móveis Siopa & Baptista complies with the applicable data protection legislation, notably Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation), and other applicable EU and national laws.
2.5. All information provided by the Customer must be accurate and truthful. The Customer is obliged to update any information provided whenever changes occur. The Customer is expressly responsible for any false or inaccurate declarations and for any damage caused to Móveis Siopa & Baptista or third parties through the information provided.
2.6. Móveis Siopa & Baptista is the Data Controller of its Customers' personal data, with the legal basis being the performance of this purchase and sale contract.
2.7. In case of violation of the General Terms & Conditions of Online Sale, Móveis Siopa & Baptista reserves the right to pursue any and all legally available actions. Additionally, it reserves the right to terminate access to or use of the online store, with or without notice to the Customer.
2.8. Móveis Siopa & Baptista implements the necessary and appropriate technical and organizational security measures to ensure information security. However, the Customer is aware that online store use may not be 100% secure, and information sent/received could be intercepted by unauthorized parties, which cannot be attributed to Móveis Siopa & Baptista.
2.9. The contractual offer on the online store is directed only to adults, and the Customer agrees that it is only to be used by users over the age of eighteen and/or with full contractual capacity and who can assume responsibility for the commitments arising from the purchase and sale.
2.10. The Customer expressly authorizes MÓVEIS SIOPA & BAPTISTA to send information about products and services that may be of interest, using personal data for direct marketing purposes. 3. Online Purchase Procedure
3.1. First Step: Selecting items to add to your shopping cart.
3.2. The Customer hereby expressly accepts and acknowledges that:
a) Product Images and Information: The product images shown in the online store are for illustrative purposes only. The Customer should carefully read all information regarding the essential characteristics of the items and, in case of doubt, directly contact our store, which holds specific product details. Alternatively, the Customer may visit the Móveis Siopa & Baptista store in person for more information or clarification.
b) Information Accuracy: Móveis Siopa & Baptista makes every reasonable effort to provide accurate, updated, and detailed information about the products featured on the site.
c) Validity of Offers: Offers available in the online store are valid while the respective products are available for sale on the site and in stock.
d) Prices and Delivery Costs: Prices shown in the online store refer exclusively to the value of the products and are expressed in Euros, including VAT at the legal rate in force. Delivery costs are not included and will be added at the time of purchase confirmation.
e) International Sales: We do not conduct international sales via the online store. If you wish to purchase a product for delivery outside Portugal, please contact us at geral@moveissb.com for more information.
3.3. Second Step: Registration and Form Completion
To confirm the order, the Customer must complete a form with the following information:
a) Full name or business name
b) Phone contact and email address
c) Tax ID / Corporate ID number
d) Full name or business name for the invoice
e) Tax ID / Corporate ID number for the invoice
f) Full billing address
3.4. Third Step: Order Confirmation, Customer Data, and Billing
The Customer must carefully review all the information in the order summary, including:
a) Selected items and services in the cart
b) Personal information
c) Billing and payment data
If any discrepancies are identified, the Customer must return to the previous steps to make the necessary corrections before finalizing the order.
Móveis Siopa & Baptista will confirm receipt of the order by email sent to the address provided by the Customer.
If advance payment is not required, the order amount must be paid upon delivery, preferably using a debit card terminal (Multibanco).
The invoice will be sent or delivered at the time of collection or delivery of the purchased products.
4. Order Delivery
The delivery of products purchased through the online store will only take place after respective payment and according to the previously established conditions. Each product must be paid for at the time of purchase.
4.1. In-store Pickup
The Customer may choose to pick up their online purchase at the Móveis Siopa & Baptista store, located at Estrada Nacional 8, No. 182, 2460-209 Alfeizerão, Alcobaça. Store hours can be checked [here].
4.2. Home Delivery by Móveis Siopa & Baptista
4.2.1. Móveis Siopa & Baptista offers free delivery and assembly for orders over €500 within a 50 km radius. If your postal code is eligible, the option “Free Home Delivery” will appear during the online checkout.
4.2.2. If your postal code is not included in this area, please contact us at +351 262 249 721 or via geral@moveissb.com to clarify or request a quote for home delivery.
4.2.3. In the event that the products are unavailable for delivery, Móveis Siopa & Baptista will inform the Customer within a maximum of 2 days from becoming aware of such unavailability, and refund any paid amounts unless a new delivery date is agreed.
4.2.4. The Customer agrees to be present at the agreed location, date, and time to receive the goods.
a) If delivery cannot be made due to Customer responsibility, the cost of a second delivery attempt will be borne by the Customer.
b) If the Customer is not present on the agreed date and time, Móveis Siopa & Baptista will, whenever possible, leave proof of the delivery attempt and request that the Customer contact Customer Service to reschedule.
4.2.5. If the Customer detects any issue at the time of delivery, they must immediately inform the delivery staff.
4.3. Delivery via Carrier

4.4. Delivery Verification and Confirmation
Upon receiving the order, whether through Store Pickup, Home Delivery or Courier, the Customer must immediately check: the status of the products purchased; the quantity received and the conformity of the items with the order placed.
If defects, damages or discrepancies are detected in relation to the order, the Customer must immediately contact Móveis Siopa & Baptista through Customer Service: If you identify problems after receiving the order, you must contact the following contacts:

5. Exchanges and Returns of Orders
5.1. The Customer may request the return or exchange of any defective product within the applicable legal time limits. However, if home pickup of the item is requested, the transportation costs will be borne by the Customer.
5.2. Móveis Siopa & Baptista will only cover return and reshipping costs in the following cases:
a) Error resulting in the delivery of an incorrect product;
b) Product with a manufacturing defect;
c) Product damaged during transport.
5.3. To request the pickup of an item for return, the Customer must send photographs proving the product's condition to the email assistencias@moveissb.com.
5.4. Returns Due to Customer Withdrawal
If the return is due to Customer withdrawal, all transportation costs are the Customer’s sole responsibility. The Customer may:
a) Send the item back using a carrier of their choice;
b) Request pickup by Móveis Siopa & Baptista, subject to an associated cost (quote required). The request should be sent to assistencias@moveissb.com.
5.5. Refunds
5.5.1. Móveis Siopa & Baptista will process the refund within an estimated period of 14 days after receiving and verifying the returned item. However, they do not cover any fees associated with refund processing.
5.5.2. The refund will be issued using the same payment method used in the purchase or by bank transfer to the IBAN provided by the Customer. Only the amount paid for the items will be refunded; shipping costs will not be reimbursed.
5.6. Complaints for Damage During Transport
5.6.1. If the Customer receives a product damaged during transport, a complaint must be submitted within 24 hours after delivery, by sending photographs proving the damage to assistencias@moveissb.com.
6. Contract Termination
6.1. Right of Free Termination
6.1.1. Under Article 10 of Decree-Law No. 24/2014, of February 14, as amended by Decree-Law No. 78/2018, of October 15, the Customer has the right to freely terminate the purchase and sale contract without needing to provide a reason, within 14 days from the date of delivery.
6.1.2. If this right is exercised, the Customer is responsible for covering the transportation costs associated with returning the items from the delivery address to the headquarters of Móveis Siopa & Baptista.
6.2 Exclusions from the Right of Free Termination
The right of return does not apply in the following cases:
a) Customized products: Items produced with modifications to dimensions, finishes, or fabrics at the Customer’s request.
b) Hygiene and rest products: For hygiene reasons, returns are not accepted for mattresses, pillows, toppers (also known as mattress toppers), bed linens, bath textiles, and similar items.
7. Secure Payment
7.1. All transactions carried out on the Móveis Siopa & Baptista online store are protected by SSL technology, ensuring the security and encryption of data during the payment process.
7.2. Payment Methods
Payments must be made at the time the order is confirmed, using the following methods:
a) Bank Card: Multibanco, Mastercard, and Visa.
b) Multibanco: Payment via reference generated at the time of purchase.
c) Klarna: Option for installment payment, when available.
7.2 Bank Card Payment
7.2.1. Accepted cards are Multibanco, Mastercard, and Visa.
7.2.2. When the Customer enters card details, the information is instantly encrypted before being transmitted.
7.2.3. Card data is not stored by Móveis Siopa & Baptista.
7.3 Multibanco Payment
7.3.1. When selecting Multibanco as the payment method and confirming the order, the following information will be provided:
a) Entity
b) Reference
c) Amount
7.3.2. The Customer must use this information to complete the payment via home banking or a Multibanco ATM.
8. Complaints
The Customer may submit complaints directly to Móveis Siopa & Baptista using the contact details available on the contact page or in writing to the company’s headquarters.
9. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
9.1. Contractual relationships between the Parties are governed by Portuguese law.
9.2. If any issue or dispute arises regarding the application, interpretation, integration, or execution of this contract, and no agreement can be reached between the parties, the matter will be submitted to the Portuguese courts.
9.3. The consumer also has the option to resort to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) entities available at www.consumidor.pt.
9.4. In the event of a consumer dispute, the customer may resort to the national network of consumer conflict arbitration centers, which offer information, mediation, and arbitration services — Consumer Conflict Arbitration Center (www.cniacc.pt).
10. Privacy Policy
10.1. Móveis Siopa & Baptista collects and processes Customers' personal data exclusively for the following purposes: customer account management; invoicing; and provision of information.
10.2. Personal data is processed only with the Customer’s express consent, in compliance with applicable legislation and the terms described above. This policy is based on Article 18 of Law No. 114/2015, of September 8.
10.3. By using the online store, the Customer declares that they are aware of, fully accept, and unconditionally agree to these General Terms & Conditions of Online Sale.
